Аннотация

В связи с ростом распространенности сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний возникает острая необходимость в определении и четком разграничении наиболее важных факторов риска развития и прогрессирования атеросклеротических изменений. В отличие от второй половины XX в. в настоящее время атмосферное загрязнение городов взвешенными веществами признано экспертами Всемирной организации здравоохранения одним из важных предикторов сердечно-сосудистых событий. Однако опыт подобных исследований, проведенных за последние десятилетия, носит весьма разрозненный характер. Целью авторов стала попытка разобраться и упорядочить массив накопленной информации и, проанализировав ее, сделать выводы о влиянии взвешенных частиц на функционирование сердечно-сосудистой системы человека.
