By the method of immunoenzymatic analysis and original idiotype-antiidiotype test-system ELI-N-Test (Russia) in blood serum of the patients the levels of autoantibodies (aAB) to brain proteins-antigens (NF-200, GFAP, MBP and S100β) and to receptors of neuromediators (glutamate, GABA, dopamine, serotonin and choline-receptors) we determined. <bold>Results</bold>: All groups of epilepsy patients differed from control group by as individual levels, as degree</italic><italic> of deviations of the studied immunological parameters. Serum levels of neurotropic aAB to NF-200, GFAP, MBP and S100β, as well as to receptors of neuromediators (glutamate, GABA, dopamine, serotonin and choline-receptors) were noted to increase. The features of immune disturbances depended on the form and severity of epilepsy. <bold>Conclusion</bold>: Autoimmune processes have the certain place in the pathogenesis of epilepsy. The degree and duration of increase in the levels of neurotropic aAB have the prognostic significance for the evaluation severity degree of epilepsy course that could be an additional criterion in the integrated diagnosis and timely correction of treatment for epilepsy.</italic></p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><italic><bold>Цель исследования:</bold> определить концентрацию естественных нейротропных аутоантител в сыворотке крови больных с идиопатической и симптоматической эпилепсией. <bold>Пациенты и методы</bold>: обследованы 43 больных эпилепсией (27 мужчин и 16 женщин) в возрасте от 16 до 70 лет (средний возраст 43,1±1,02 года), из них 11 с идиопатической эпилепсией (группа I) и 32 с симптоматической эпилепсией (группа II). Методом твердофазного иммуноферментного анализа и оригинальной идиотип-антиидиотипической тест-системы «ЭЛИ-Н-Тест» (Россия) в сыворотке крови всех обследуемых было оценено содержание аутоантител (аАТ) к белкам-антигенам мозга (NF-200, GFAP,</italic><italic> ОБМ и S100β) и рецепторам нейромедиаторов (глутаматные, ГАМК, дофаминовые, серотониновые и холинорецепторы). <bold>Результаты:</bold> все</italic><italic> группы больных эпилепсией отличались от контрольной группы как по индивидуальному уровню, так и по степени разброса изученных иммунологических показателей. Отмечено увеличение степени разброса показателей сывороточного содержания нейротропных аАТ к NF-200, GFAP, ОБМ и S100β, а также к рецепторам нейромедиаторов (Глу-Р, ГАМК-Р, Доф-Р, Сер-Р и Хол-Р). При этом характер иммунных нарушений зависел от формы и степени тяжести эпилепсии. <bold>Выводы</bold>: в патогенезе эпилепсии присутствуют аутоиммунные процессы.
