Among them were: suspicion on diffuse polyposis, intestinal bleeding, lymphangiectasia and inflammatory bowel disease. Image interpretation was made by experienced capsule users, previously trained on small bowel capsule and first generation colon capsule. Lesions or abnormal changes of the mucosa identified on capsule endoscopy served as indications for colonoscopy or esophagogastroduodenoscopy with biopsy or polypectomy if needed. <bold>Results:</bold> Standard white light endoscopy was made in all children without any adverse events. Second-generation colon capsule allows diagnosing Crohn’s disease in small intestine</italic><italic> and colon, limphangiectasia of the ileum, single rectosigmoid polyp and diffuse polyposis of the colon. <bold>Conclusion</bold>: Second-generation colon capsule can be used as non-invasive screening method in children without serious complications, thus allowing <italic>differentiating</italic> indications for traditional white light endoscopy, which is usually made under general anesthesia in pediatrics.</italic></p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><italic><bold>Цель исследования</bold>: оценить возможности видеоколоноскапсулы второго поколения в диагностике заболеваний пищеварительного тракта у детей. <bold>Пациенты и методы</bold>: обследовано 5 детей с различными гастроэнтерологическими патологиями — подозрением на полипоз тонкой и толстой кишки, кровотечением, лимфангиодисплазией, воспалительными заболеваниями кишечника. Интерпретацию полученных результатов осуществлял персонал, владеющий методикой колонокапсульной эндоскопии и имевший предшествующий опыт работы с капсульной эндоскопией для визуализации тонкой кишки. Обнаруженные изменения верхнего или нижнего отдела пищеварительного тракта, доступные для традиционного внутрипросветного исследования, стали показанием к проведению эзофагогастродуодено- и колоноскопии с биопсией слизистой оболочки и эндоскопической полипэктомии с последующей их гистологической верификацией. <bold>Результаты</bold>: внутрипросветное исследование у всех детей прошло успешно, побочных эффектов отмечено не было. Видеоколонокапсула</italic><italic> второго поколения позволила диагностировать болезнь Крона тонкой и толстой кишки, лимфангиодисплазию подвздошной кишки, единичный полип ректосигмоидного перехода и диффузный полипоз толстой кишки. <bold>Заключение</bold>: колонокапсульную эндоскопию у детей при отсутствии серьезных осложнений можно рассматривать в качестве скриниг-метода неинвазивной диагностики болезней тонкой и толстой кишки, позволяющего дифференцированно подходить к определению показаний к проведению традиционной, диагностической колоноскопии, которая в подавляющем числе наблюдений в педиатрии выполняется под общим обезболиванием.</italic></p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>capsule endoscopy</kwd><kwd>pediatrics</kwd><kwd>Crohn’s disease adenomatous polyps</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>видеоколонокапсульная эндоскопия</kwd><kwd>педиатрия</kwd><kwd>аденоматозные полипы</kwd><kwd>болезнь Крона</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>1.
