Inflammatory bowel diseases are among the most severe pathologies in pediatric gastroenterology, often lead to disability. Despite the similarity of the clinic, pathogenetic mechanisms, the question of the differential diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease is relevant in view of their different prognosis and treatment strategy. In recent years, in medical uses infrared spectroscopy of blood serum for the differential diagnosis of various inflammatory diseases, benign and malignant tumors. Besides finding increasing application of mathematical methods for data processing, the so-called mathematical modeling of pathological processes, allowing objectify the survey results for a more accurate diagnosis and prognosis of pathological processes. <bold>Objective:</bold> improving the differential diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease in children. <bold>Patients:</bold> 21 children with ulcerative colitis, 56 children with Crohn's disease and 34 healthy children. The method of infrared spectroscopy of serum and mathematical modeling results through multivariate entropy analysis. <bold>Results:</bold> the obtained spectral characteristics of blood serum in children with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease and in healthy children, as well as "images of disease" in these pathologies. <bold>Conclusion:</bold> The use of this medical technology reduced the time of diagnosis, which contributes to the timely choice of rational treatment strategies and provides an opportunity to avoid the development of complications, worsening of the disease.</italic></p><p> </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold/><italic><bold>Актуальность</bold>. Воспалительные заболевания кишечника относятся к одним из самых тяжелых патологий в детской гастроэнтерологии, часто приводящих к инвалидизации. Несмотря на схожесть клиники, патогенетических механизмов, вопрос дифференциальной диагностики язвенного колита и болезни Крона актуален ввиду их различного прогноза и лечебной тактики. В медицине в последние годы используется инфракрасная спектроскопия сыворотки крови для проведения дифференциальной диагностики различных воспалительных заболеваний, доброкачественных и злокачественных новообразований. Кроме того находят все большее применение методы математической обработки данных, так называемое математическое моделирование патологических процессов, позволяющее объективизировать результаты обследования для более точной диагностики и прогнозирования патологических процессов. <bold>Цель исследования</bold>: совершенствование дифференциальной диагностики язвенного колита и болезни Крона у детей. <bold>Пациенты и методы:</bold> 21 ребенок с язвенным колитом, 56 детей с болезнью Крона и 34 практически здоровых ребенка. Использован метод инфракрасной спектроскопии сыворотки крови и математического моделирования результатов путем многомерного энтропийного анализа. <bold>Результаты:</bold> получены спектральные характеристики сыворотки крови у детей с язвенным колитом и болезнью Крона и у здоровых детей, а также «образы болезни» при этих патологиях. <bold>Заключение:</bold> использование данной медицинской технологии позволяет сократить сроки постановки диагноза, что способствует своевременному выбору рациональной тактики лечения и дает возможность избежать развития осложнений, утяжеления течения заболевания.</italic></p><p> </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>ulcerative colitis</kwd><kwd>Crohn's disease</kwd><kwd>differential diagnosis</kwd><kwd>infrared spectroscopy of serum</kwd><kwd>mathematical modeling</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>язвенный колит</kwd><kwd>болезнь Крона</kwd><kwd>дифференциальная диагностика</kwd><kwd>инфракрасная спектроскопия сыворотки крови</kwd><kwd>математическое моделирование</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>1.
